These are always so very hard to write, but this time, not so much. I want to dedicate this third book to my co-authors, Liberty, Kayce, and Erin, who have been supportive of me since I started this crazy journey as a writer. Couldn’t do this without y’all and don’t even wanna try. Love y’all BIG!

  ~ Darlene

  Acknowledgments

I want to acknowledge the authors who took a chance on this project. Kayce, Erin, and Darlene I love all three of you to the moon and back. I’m so happy that we took my husband’s concept and ran with it, making it our own. You ladies made the vision so much better than what I ever anticipated it could be.

To my PA, Nicole Lloyd, thank you for accepting my brand of crazy and running with it. I’m so happy you took a second chance on me, and have given it your all.

To my family and especially my husband, Greg, I love you all more than words can say. To our readers...thank you for taking a chance and reading this series, you are the reason we all work as hard as we do.

Michelle Thomas, my PA, and someone I’m proud to call a bestie. You’ve always believed in me and my ability to turn words into something awesome and intriguing. Your one-of-a-kind loyalty and persistence is unmatched. It’s not easy trying to keep up with me and keep me “in line” yet, somehow, you manage it all with grace. Last, but certainly never least, my family. Thank you for understanding this crazy journey of mine. Thank you for your sacrifice of me so I can pursue my career in writing. To the members of The Clubhouse and Kayce’s Kinky Corner, y’all rock! Thank you for wanting to be included in my/our journey specifically. As always, much love!

To all of our readers, without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for taking a chance on not only my work, and characters, but the other authors out there as well.

Kayce, Liberty, and Darlene, thank you for including me in this series. Without the three of you, there wouldn’t have
been the laughs or memories created in the time that we’ve spent on the phone. Love you ladies!!

To my family. Thank you for supporting me and giving me the time and space needed to create such amazing characters and getting my stories out there.

Thank you to everyone that has made this amazing journey possible!!

I’m lost in thought as I’m sitting here at the clubhouse bored out of my ever-loving mind. The hardest part about this storm is that we’re stuck below ground and have no real clue what’s happening above us. Are our homes still okay? Are the people in our town safe? What about the club’s businesses? Are all of our buildings still standing, or are we going to have to completely rebuild from the ground up? I worry about the ladies from the other two clubs in our state. Well, technically, I only know of two who share this great state of Texas with our club, but there could be more. Since we haven't shared that information on purpose with each other, the only reason I know of the two is because it’s slipped out in private conversations when we weren’t paying attention to what we were sharing. I’m not a tattle-tale, so I’ll keep that information to myself, thank you very much. I don’t want to get any of my new friends in trouble with their men, so I won’t be the one who shares that sacred information with the other women -- not even those who share the same club as I do. As much as I trust them each with my life and secrets, these aren’t mine to share. I won’t be responsible for the repercussions of not being able to keep my trap shut. Nope, I’m good about zipping my mouth shut and throwing away the proverbial key.

The signal has been so sketchy that we’ve had little to no updates, and with the knowledge that at least one of the clubs is in the direct eye of the storm? Yeah, most definitely a scary time. Nan has been great, though, and has corralled all the kids, and babies, to one area where she and the prospects are playing movies for the younger ones, and board games with the older kids. I hear laughter as I pass and smile. Only children could think this was a grand adventure. Then again, we’ve all busted our asses to make sure they don’t sense our concern, so perhaps we need to consider that as well. I meander over to grab myself and Bandit a drink, knowing he’s sitting in front of the bank of laptops that are set up. I need to see for myself exactly what’s happening. Maybe that’ll ease my mind. I may have to fight my men to share the unshareable information with me, but I’m known to get my way when it comes to them...I just have to shake my hips a little here and there, make promises and walla! But, they won’t share club business with me, and I wouldn’t ask them too, I know all about that sacred men’s society and don’t stand a chance to get inside of that. Plus, there’s some things that aren’t shared with women for our safety and that’s quite alright with me. I’ve had more than enough situations in my lifetime that I shouldn’t have had knowledge of and it’s landed me in hot water a time or two. I’ve found that the less I know, the better I sleep at night anyways.

“Hey, baby, you busy?” I ask, walking into his new ‘office’ that the guys set up. Out of necessity, it has a door to keep the kids out since there are cords and laptops and all sorts of electrical gadgets I don’t even begin to understand in here.

“Never for you. C’mere,” he says, patting his lap. Once I’m settled, he kisses my temple and takes the bottle of soda I got him, opening it and taking a deep swallow. “What’s up, Hannah?” I watch his throat constrict as the fluid goes down, it’s the smallest things that they do that has the potential to get me worked up. I clear my thoughts and try to remember what it was I came in here for in the first place.

Oh yeah! “I was just wondering what you’ve been able to see is all,” I murmur, snuggling deeper into him. I never would have imagined that I would find one man to love, let alone two, but here I am, happy as a pig in mud. Even though we don’t have much privacy down here, I’ve been amazed at how the couples have worked to ensure that everyone manages to get some ‘alone time’ away from the rest of us. Granted, I’m sure the couples with kids are missing the physical intimacy they’re normally used to, but so far, no one is losing their shit.

“Look here,” he says, pointing to the first screen. “That’s the front of the clubhouse.” My eyes widen seeing the debris that litters the parking lot, but I’m glad that the roof seems okay and the glass is intact. When I mention it, he says, “We put in special glass when we bought the building. It can eventually break, but based on what I’ve been able to find, unless something hard and heavy hits it directly, it’ll hold.”

“What’s that one?” I ask, pointing to the next screen.

He glances and says, “That’s Main Street. Looks like mostly debris and tree limbs here as well. And that one captures every angle around the trucking company. Hey, Axe!” he calls out.

A few minutes later, Braxton appears in the door. “What’s up?” He looks as if he wants to rush him and have him get to the point of why he was called in.

“Looks like part of the fence is down at the trucking company.” Braxton leans in to get a closer view. I notice his eyebrows scrunch together in contemplation.

“Keep an eye on it. As soon as it’s safe for us to go back out, I’ll send Chet and Maxum over to secure it until we can get it repaired. Any damage to the trucks?” He turns and faces the two of us when he asks this question.

“Doesn’t look like it, good call on having the employees pull them into the warehouse.” I mentally agree with his assessment.

“Yeah, Paisley’s gonna kill me for messing up her floor in there, but damn, those things are so fucking expensive, I figured it was the cheaper option of the two.”

I sit there and listen to the two men go through the rest of the screens and get a better grasp of what’s going on in our little town. Looks like it’s more cosmetic stuff than anything, picking up limbs and a few repairs here and there. I breathe out a sigh of relief until it dawns on me that it’s likely based on the few posts we saw that Jenalyn’s club was hit. “Do we know if any areas were really hit hard?” I ask when Bandit and Axe finally wind down.

“Let me check, baby. You worried about your friends?” I nod my head at the question.

“Yeah. I think one of their clubs was right in the line of the storms,” I answer.

He fiddles around on his laptop and brings up a radar that shows just how ugly this storm has been. It’s spawned so many tornadoes that the weathermen are almost pissing themselves trying to keep up. I guess it’s their moment to shine, being able to tell folks to take cover and then report on the subsequent damages. “Do you know where they’re at?” he asks.

“Not really, that kinda fell under that whole ‘club business’ thing that we said we wouldn’t discuss, so other than knowing that three of us are here in Texas, I have no clue.” My mouth is firmly zipped, I won’t share anything I know, as I am sure none of them would share anything with their men either.

“Have you been able to get into the site from your phone?”

I shake my head no and he moves his hands over the keyboard and the site pops up. I look at him with my eyebrows raised and he gives me a grin before saying, “Baby, your password is too fucking easy. No, I’ve not snooped, but knowing your email address, it was a piece of cake for me to figure it out. Do you want to post something?”

My head is already nodding as I pull the keyboard closer before posting: Hey y’all, no clue if anyone will see this or how soon you will, but we’re all okay. My old man was able to check the cameras outside and it looks like all we got was some debris that’ll need to be cleaned up. Of course, the rains are still coming down hard, so we’re hunkered in the basement, but hopefully, the storms will pass soon and we can get out and get stuff sorted. Please let us know how y’all are and if you have any damage so we can see if we’re able to help.

I sit back and smile, even though I’m still worried about my new friends. “Thank you, Bandit,” I say.

“Any time, khaleesi. Love you,” he replies, gen
tling kissing me. “Now, I’ve gotta get back to work. Need to make sure Chief and his guys are safe.” I don’t wanna know how he’s going to do that so I nod and get up from his lap, a yelp coming from me as he swats me on the ass.

“Was anything else posted?” DJ asks as I head toward the eating area.

“Nothing new, no. I posted though, so they know we’re all okay and that we’re mostly going to be dealing with debris. Wasn’t Jenalyn’s club where it was worst?”

“I think so, yes,” Cara states. “Hopefully, we’ll hear from them soon.”

  “Yeah, I hope so.”

“Let’s see what we can rustle up for everyone for dinner,” Trinity responds, coming up alongside me. “You know a bunch of hangry bikers being cooped up inside plus a slew of kids hyped on whatever Nan has given them is a recipe for disaster if we don’t head it off at the pass.”
